After a very peaceful and good sleep in our very comfortable cabin, we enjoyed a very hearty breakfast in the huge bistro. We had tried to book an excursion to take us around Karlskrona but by the time we did this, all excursions were book out. We still took the tender boat into Karlskrona, the capital of the Blekinge province of Sweden. It is an interesting town with a great naval, history dating back 300 years. After alighting from the tender we were met by a lovely young man who provided us with a map and suggested a walking tour around the town. We enjoyed the sights of the large and historic naval base, the many old churches, the town square, old wooden clock tower, the 2 nd oldest wooden church in Sweden, fish market etc. Lots of walking was completed along with sitting and enjoying the brilliant sunshine.
